Testimonials

We decided to join the toy library when we had our first son. We have found it to be a great community resource and have had great fun exploring different activities each month. Our son really enjoyed visiting and picking out toys that interest him. As parents it's economical and practical as once our son is no longer interested in a toy we can return it and find another for him to enjoy.
His favourite toys are the wooden rocket ship, tractor with farm animals and the balance bike.
Claire & JamesWhen we use our toy library, we teach our children about community. They can learn that sharing can be fun. We can let our children practice self agency as they choose their own toys. Our children learn responsibility as they care for the toys that they’ve borrowed. They learn that accessing community resources can be a positive experience. Children learn that volunteers are super valuable. And we can teach them that using the toy library is a positive step towards reducing consumption, effectively creating a greener future for them. Toy libraries are fantastic!
SamI save money buying new toys. I can try new toys before I purchase them and invest in toys I know my daughter will love. I can access a wide variety of toys. I can borrow and return bulky toys that I don’t want clogging up my house. I can borrow and return toys that will only get limited use before being put into storage. I can borrow clean, current toys.
Very cheap access to fun and educational toys for a wide range of ages!
As a volunteer, I love interacting with children and families and helping them choose their favourite toys from the library.
JeanieI joined the Toy Library so I could access toys for my granddaughter. I love the selection there; from outside toys for more physical play, to puzzles, games and dramatic play toys. I love the fact that if my granddaughter doesn’t like a particular toy I can just return it and swap for another.
