About Us
Providing the families of Mount Gambier & the Limestone Coast with quality toys for more than 40 years
Mount Gambier Toy Library has one over-riding mission: to provide families with quality toys of enduring play value that will contribute to the overall development of children through a shared parent child experience. Our collection of toys will either stimulate, foster creativity, expand imaginations, improve hand-eye dexterity, or provide important life skills all while delivering pure, plain, simple fun.Founded in 1979, The Mount Gambier Toy Library is a community organisation owned and operated by parents and caregivers providing a service for families in the district with children 0-6yrs old. The Toy library is operated entirely by volunteers and is a community Not-for-profit organisation. The toy library aims to support families financially and socially encouraging them to interact with their children. Qualities toys are expensive and children can tire of a toy quickly. By providing new items for play ever one or two weeks parents can save money and significantly contribute towards their child’s development and learning process. We value the role of play in the learning and development process of children. Even if your children already have their own toys we can offer an opportunity for children to have access to a extensive range of toys and games, with age appropriate toy recommendations and some toys too large for easy storage at your place. Membership is affordable and valuable for maximising your child’s development.
